Gentle Water Aerobics for Women Living with Cancer Class Aug 6
In Person. Gentle water exercise helps to create better posture, release stress, and prevent falls. Using movements similar to tai chi, this class gently lubricates joints, improves muscle coordination and tone, and helps with balance and neuropathy. This class is limited to 12 participants.

The following classes are free of charge to individuals impacted by cancer and are cosponsored by the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan and Dr. Alison Estabrook, a nationally recognized breast cancer surgeon currently Professor of Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She was founder and chief of the Comprehensive Breast Center, Mount Sinai West, in New York City, and co-founder of Breastlink New York, an affiliate of Radnet.
All classes concentrate on restoring upper body movement after Breast Cancer Surgery and dealing with the side effects of that surgery and chemo and radiation. At this time all classes are nevertheless open to all cancer survivors with the knowledge that they are not marketed to be a complete body work out.
